About IOE
📋Exam Structure
Theory: 3 hrs, 80 marks final + 20 internal = 100 total. Short: 1.5 hrs, 40 + 10 = 50 total.
Each theory paper divided into 5 units, each worth 20% of the final exam.
Practicals assessed continuously — lab work, reports, viva voce, presentations.
✅Pass Rules
Old system: must score 40% separately in both internal and final exam of each subject.
New system: minimum 50% (Grade D, 1.3 GPA) required per subject.
Back exam passes do not count toward aggregate / CGPA. Minimum 70% attendance mandatory.
🎓After Graduation
Transcript: TU Office, Balkhu. Lost marksheets: Rs. 200 each from college or IOE Exam Control, Chakupat.
NEC registration — Nepal Engineering Council, the authorized certification body.
MSc entrance: first week of November. BE / B.Arch entrance: Shrawan / Bhadra (CBT format).
